Laptop Sleeve

I just bought a new laptop !  I have been thinking about getting a Chromebook for a long time, so I finally decided to pull the trigger.  I am SO satisfied with it!  It's like having a regular laptop and a tablet all in one.  If you haven't tried Chrome OS yet, you are missing out! Anyway, the only thing this new laptop was missing was a nice sleeve to keep it safe.  So I sat down and got to work on one.  I went with the Rice Stitch and some Red Heart Super Saver Stripes .  I am so happy with how it turned out! Note: This was designed to fit my laptop, but it does stretch to go over my Windows Laptop that is a 15" laptop.  You can customize this pattern by measuring the base chain to make it the same length as your laptop.  Your number of stitches will be different, but you can still follow the basic pattern based off that. Materials Needed: 5.5mm Crochet Hook About 350yd of Worsted Weight Yarn I used a whole skein of  RED HEART ...

Another Tablet Stand Pillow

This is basically the same pattern as  A Batty Tablet Stand Pillow , but this one is a solid color and a bit bigger in order to accommodate a 12" iPad Pro. For more images, please see that post. You will need: Less than a skein of  Worsted Weight Yarn , I used a blue from a Michael's brand Stitch Marker Tapestry needle  (for weaving in ends) Poly-fill A crochet hook a little smaller than what your yarn recommends. I used a  4mm Crochet Hook   NOTE:  I put the size for the standard tablet stand in parenthesis.   First, I started with the bottom that is actually the stand. Row 1: Ch  68 (58) and starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in each ch (67sts). Now, continue on the backside of the chains around, and join. Use a stitch marker to know when the row is done going forward. Row 2-12 (2-10): 1 sc in each st around. Row 13 (11): stop here and stuff with poly-fill well. I stuffed this more than I would normally to make it a little ...

A Batty Tablet Stand Pillow

It's hard to find yarn projects that work for men! I needed a nice Father's Day gift, so I thought a tablet stand pillow would be a good idea! I also wanted it to have a bat on it, for you know, batty reasons. This was my first time both making a graph and working from a graph, but it came out better than expected. If you're no so into bats, you could also just skip the graph and do a solid color, stripes, or even a different graph of your own liking. So here's what I did: You will need: Less than a skein of black  Worsted Weight Yarn , but you will use most of it. I used Red Heart Super Saver . Less than a skein of yellow  Worsted Weight Yarn , you won't use that much of it. I used something I had already that didn't have a label on it anymore. Stitch Marker Tapestry needle  (for weaving in ends) Poly-fill A crochet hook a little smaller than what your yarn recommends. I used a  4mm Crochet Hook   First, I started with the bottom t...
