Triangle Granny Shawl

  I had been wanting to make a wrap, and I am such a fan of the granny stitch, I decided to give this a go! Materials Needed: 9mm Crochet Hook OPTIONAL: 1-2  pencil grips , like  these , to make your crochet handle more comfortable Bernat Baby Blanket Big Ball Baby Lilac , 2 balls Stitch Marker Tapestry needle  (for weaving in ends) Optional:  Tassel Maker Pattern: Row 1: Ch 4, in 4th ch from hook 2dc, ch2, 3dc. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as stitch), turn, 2dc in the first dc, ch 1, 3dc ch 2 3dc in ch2 sp, ch1, 3dc in the top of the ch3 from the previous row. Ma & Pop Matching Granny Rectangle Blankets

I've been enjoying making Granny Rectangle Blankets, and so I decided my parents needed some.  This is basically the same pattern l I used for A Baby Shower Gift Set except I used much more yarn and made it much larger.   I used a total of 10 skeins for both blankets, so about 5 for each.  I did the full skein of the red, orange, and green/teal for each one but then I started splitting the colors in half.  I tried to do this by weighing the skein as I worked off of it, but it wasn’t as reliable as I wanted it to be.  So then I just guessed the right amount from the OUTSIDE pull on one blanket and then without detaching did the same amount from the same skein on the second blanket using the CENTER pull and got them even.      Materials for 2 Blankets 10 skeins of Caron Simply Soft Yarn 6mm Crochet Hook Stitch Marker Tapestry needle  (for weaving in ends) Below are the colors I used in order: Blanket A:       ...
